|Level 1 is for swimmers new to the water. They learn the basics such as breathing, floating and kicking and are introduced to the freestyle stroke arms. The goal is to get these swimmers more comfortable with the water.|
Level 2 is for swimmers who have passed level 1 or are capable of performing the following task in the water with little or no assistance: breathing, floating, kicking reaching and pulling and know all of the pool rules.
Level 3 is for swimmers who have passed level 2 or are capable of kicking and swimming a 25 freestyle without any assistance. In level 3, swimmers will learn the techniques for the freestyle and backstroke and how to dive and tread water.
Level 4/5 is for swimmers who are more advanced. In this level the swimmers will join the Rapids swim team and practice 3 times a week for two hours. One hour will be drylands and the second hour will be a swim practice dedicated to learning drill and techniques for one stroke (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, or butterfly). At the end of the course we will have a fun swim meet with all the swimmers in the class.
Adult swim lessons are for swimmers 18 and over who are beginner, intermediate or advanced. Whether you want to just become more comfortable in the water or learn more techniques for swimmer we can accommodate to your needs.
Water Babies is for babies 6 months to 5 years old. A parent or guardian must go in the water with their child. The instructors help teach the parents ways to get their child more comfortable with the water through songs and games.
