Teen Extreme is a field trip based, exploration program that consists of seven, 1 week sessions at $99* per week/child. Each week, children travel to two new and exciting places across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. During camp days many activities are offered by the staff however, the campers choose whether to participate or not (Challenge by choice).
On Site Days
The morning usually starts with drop off by parents at 8:30 a.m. One upper staff will greet children and collect their cell phones to be returned at the end of the day. Normally the staff, which consists of 1-3 counselors and 2 directors, will be organizing games and activities at all times throughout the day. In an effort to support the pre-teen’s independence none of the activities are required. By doing this, many of the children join activities because they “want to” not because they are forced, creating a much better summer environment. At 12:00 the entire camp gathers together for lunch in the Cafeteria, which is provided.
Activities continue throughout the remainder of the day including the opportunity to use the Randolph Community Pool.
Field Trip Days
At a.m. drop off, the bus will arrive at Randolph Community Middle School, at which point all children and staff will board the bus and head off for the days field trip. Upon arrival at the location the staff will pick out a suitable “home base” location where children can leave their back packs, lunches or any other equipment they may have brought, also where one staff member will remain for the day.
On many field trips Randolph Teen Extreme may be the only people present on site so all campers are 100% supervised. On other trips such as Canobie Lake Park it is impossible to request that the site be only available to Randolph Teen Extreme. In these cases the upper staff will personally ask each parent at drop off whether they would like their child to remain with a counselor for the day or if their child can travel in a group without a counselor. All children report back to the "home base" shortly before leaving to do a final head count. When all campers are present, the staff will escort everyone to the bus for the ride back to the School. Most field trip days will arrive back on time, however some trips are far away and to give campers adequate time to explore the hours will be extended. All parents are notified of trips with extended hours at the beginning of each week
